Let There Be Books

 This is one of the best thrillers that I have read ALL year! I honestly don't even know where to start with this review. Thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read and review a copy of Tess Stimson's newest novel; One in Three  out in December of 2020. This story follows our main characters Louise, Andrew, and Caz. Louise and Andrew were married, until Andrew cheated on Louise with Caz and married Caz. Louise's mother invites her family, including Caz and Andrew, to an anniversary celebration weekend. A weekend that ends with Andrew being brutally murdered. The question of who did it is a hot one, as both Louise and Caz were at the scene of the crime and have had a war going on between them for four years now.  The foreshadowing in this book was excellent! Tess Stimson does an excellent job of keeping the reader guessing but also setting the reader up to future events that will occur. It was absolutely brilliant.  Thank you to NetGalley for my early review copy of Open House by Sam Carrington to be released in December of 2020! This story follows our main character Amber Miller as she tries to sell her home after separating from her husband, eager to start a new life with her new boyfriend and her children. She decides to have an Open House and watches to see how many people show up. 13 go in but only 12 come out. Soon things start getting a little odd in the home and Amber is faced with some serious dark family secrets. This book was super intriguing and had me engrossed from the very beginning. That could be due to the very short chapters, or the fact that Sam Carrington's writing is excellent at immersing you into the story. I felt like I was witnessing all these events happening with my own eyes because of Carrington's writing.  I just finished the most ADORABLE collection of YA romance short stories! TO BE RELEASED: OCTOBER 20TH 2020 Together, Apart is a collection of short stories by several authors (Erin A. Craig, Bill Konigsberg, Sajni Patel, Auriane Desombre, Natasha Preston, Jennifer Yen, Brittney Morris, Rachel Lippincott, & Erin Hahn) surrounding the topic of finding love and connection during a pandemic. Yes, each individual short story takes place during the present time of the COVID-19 pandemic and I was all for it.  At first, it freaked me out to be reading stories where COVID-19 was a main factor. I mean, I know it's a real thing and will go down in history as one of the worst pandemics the world has ever seen, but when you use reading as an escape from the scary times, it's almost taunting to dive into a story with what you're trying to escape from.  A big shout out to Netgalley for the chance to review Aimee Malloy's new thriller, Goodnight Beautiful  set to be released on October 13th 2020.  Also, the song Hello Beautiful   by the iconic Jonas Brothers was stuck in my head when reading this because of this thriller's title being so similar so that's a thing.  This book was perfect to start off "spooky month", a month in October dedicated to reading all things thriller and creepy. I originally heard about this book at BookCon and NEEDED it, so when I was approved to read it I was so happy! The book follows our main character Sam, who is a well-known therapist. He goes missing one day and his wife Annie is determined to put the pieces together to find out what really happened, especially when things are not as they seem. This book started off pretty slow and it wasn't until almost 40% of the way through did I get into it. It is told in three parts with three different POV's. You do not realize who one
