Book of the Month June Picks

Hi Friends!

So today I wanted to share my June Book of the Month (BOTM) haul!

BOTM is a monthly subscription of $14.99 a month that gets you one hardcover book of your choice. My fellow bookworms know that a hardcover book, especially new releases, can be quite expensive! Each month you get 5 books to choose from, alternating between several different genres. If you don't like any of the picks you are able to skip a month with no penalty! If there is more than one book that you want, or maybe you want a previous month's pick, you can add-on two books for $10 each (again, hardcovers)! If it is your FIRST time using BOTM, you can use the code SUN5 to be able to get your first box for $9.99!

For my box I picked TWO June picks one ONE May pick!

The book that I chose for my June box was: Home Before Dark by Riley Sager!
Home Before Dark is a thriller, and Riley Sager's fourth novel. We follow our main character Maggie, who grew up in Baneberry Hall with her mother and father. Growing up, it was reported that her home was haunted, causing her family to flee in the middle of the night and her father releasing a novel about the home. A book that later became a bestseller, but Maggie doesn't believe any of it. When her father passes away and she inherits Baneberry Hall, Maggie is determined to renovate & redecorate it so that she can put it on the market and be done with it forever. However, what she doesn't expect is to experience creepy shadows and hushed tones in the home.

The second book, and my first add-on was another June choice: The Last Flight by Julie Clark!
The Last Flight is a domestic thriller, that yes, I did already read (see my blog for my review). The story follows two main characters, Eva & Claire who live very different lives but are both running for different reasons, wanting to disappear. Claire is married to a politician, who seems charming but behind closed doors has a big temper and is abusive. When she runs into Eva in the airport, the two woman agree to switch flights. What Claire wasn't expecting was for the flight Eva got on, and the original flight Claire was set to take, crashes and there are no survivors. But how are these women similar and what is Eva running from?

My final pick for the month, and my second add-on, was a May choice that sold out within seconds! That book is Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
Big Summer follows our main character Daphne who has not spoken with her best friend Drue in over six years. She doesn't even follow Drue on any social media. One day, Drue contacts Daphne and asks Daphne to be her maid of honor and Daphne resists. Drue ends up convincing her, and she travels to Cape Cod for the wedding, learning the real reasons why Drue asked her to be her MOH. Daphne is then left to pick up the pieces of her once best friend's life.

I am excited to read all three of these picks and are expecting each of these books to be between a 4 and 5 star read!
